Eleven Years…and counting

Eleven Years…and counting

…to have and to hold,
from this day forward,
for better – for worse,
for richer – for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love and to cherish,
till death do us part,
and thereto I pledge thee my faith.
Really? Has it been eleven years? When I look at the pictures, I feel like we look like such babies (well, I do…Jason was old even then). Haha!
No seriously, there have been a LOT of changes over the past 11 years. Most good, a few bad, several you REALLY wouldn’t wish on even your worst enemy.
We’ve lived in four different homes, about to move to yet another.
We’ve been through a *few* cars.
We’ve seen the amazing birth of 2 babies.
We’ve experienced the grief of burying a child.
We count our blessings daily that we have always held open communication (some times better than others) and try to work together on every aspect of our life.
We’ve been better than we are right now, but we’ve also been worse.
We’ve been richer. We’ve been poorer!
We have experienced sickness. We’ve experienced really good health.
We love and we cherish every day we have on this earth. And we love and cherish the memories we’ve created…good AND bad ones.
So those vows are true. You have to and CAN stick together through all of those things. Remember what they say, “that which doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger.”
Right now, we are some 800 miles apart. And it feels like we’re on different planets. I think our reunion when the house sale is all said and done will be a sweet one.
I look forward to the next 40 plus years together!
Happy Anniversary, Jason.
I love you!
